But to stay fair and balanced we will also tell you about its not so good side so you can make a well-informed decision.

This riflescope is the result of a collaboration between Nikon and Buck masters. Nikon is a well-known optics company and has lent its expertise to the design of this scope.

The Nikon Buckmasters II 3-9×40 BDC riflescope is a scope that promised to offer the best in terms of optics and in durability. It has a brighter anti-reflective multicoated lens system. • The scope is very reliable

  • Some clarity is lost at the highest magnification
  • A better eye relief would improve the scope
  • It does not have a wide range of adjustments

The Nikon Buckmasters II scope provides bright and absolutely clear images, even in low light conditions, as you would expect from a manufacturer that makes good quality lenses for a range of imaging equipment. This scope is excellent quality for its price and will make you want to spend every hour available on the range or out hunting.

It is a good scope for experienced shots, but will also work for novice hunters on their first trips, as it is very reliable. The scope holds the zero very well and the magnification is easy to adjust with a handle that grips nicely.

It is easy to install and sight on target. It holds up very well to the recoil force of centrefire rifles, and might even be a little over-designed if you use something like a .22 rim-fire, but it will work well either way.

The Nikon Buckmasters II 3-9 x40 BDC riflescope does lose some clarity at the highest magnification and a better eye relief would improve this scope further. If you prefer a deep eye relief the Nikon Buckmasters II’s relief might be a little shallow.

It does have a good average depth and will not be a problem at all if you use a lower calibre weapon.  The scope does not offer a wide choice of fine adjustments as other higher ends scopes do.

This scope is well made and good quality and compares to the build of scopes of double the price of the Nikon Buckmasters II. It is suited to the experienced and novice hunter, where other scopes in this price range require experience to center and install easily, this scope is easy to use and install.

It is excellent quality if you are on a bit of a budget and will work well for distances up to 200 yards (182m).

On the other hand, if you have a few more coins burning a hole in your pocket, other higher end scopes by the same brand will give you more accuracy on longer distances and higher magnifications.

In this case you will need to weigh up distance, quality and your budget. This scope performs well is clear and very easy to install and center on bullseye.

This scope by Nikon and Buckmasters is a very good quality scope if you don’t want to break the bank but still want to spend some money on a well-made scope that will give you the clarity and ease of use that equal your skill. There is no need to miss a shot because your scope is not up to scratch.

A good scope like this Nikon Buckamsters II 3-9 x40 BDC, will suit a wide level of experience. It is easy and clear enough for novice hunters, but will also suit the experienced among you with its clear images and quality in low light and difficult weather.
